Lyndell Weddle Bower, 73 of Floyd, went home to be with The
Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Lyndell was one of the best seamstress’ around. She was
lovingly known as “Nanny”, not only to her own grandchildren and great
grandchildren but also to several children she babysat in which she referred to
them as her babies.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Kelcie
Waldon Bower, Jr.; children and their spouses, Eddie Bower and Delores, and
Donna Toler and Richard; grandchildren, Adam Toler, Kelsei Barker and Michael,
Rachel Toler, Maggie Bower; great grandchildren, Bradley and Wyatt Barker;
sisters and their spouses, Hilda and Kenneth Belcher, Delpha Sutphin, Janet
and Russell Hylton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral
service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Maberry
Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. The interment will
follow at the Jacksonville cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to
8 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Maberry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers
the family requests donations be made to Medical Charities of Floyd County, VA.

thank The Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Dr. McCoy and Staff, and The Radford Health
and Rehab and Staff for their excellent care.
