Nettie was a meticulous housekeeper and a skilled
seamstress, learning to sew on her mother’s old Singer sewing machine. She was a
great country cook as were all her sisters and her pound cake went quickly at
family events. Nettie’s hand stitched quilts are works of art. Her heart was
filled with unconditional love for her sons, her husband, her parents, her
brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors, and her Dan
River Primitive Baptist church family.
Nettie fought the good fight. She kept the faith and
finished the course telling us she loved us. We are so blessed to have had her
with us these many years. Her love and kindness touched and influenced the
lives of so many.
A memorial service will be held at the Dan River Primitive
Baptist Church, 176 State Shed Road, Vesta, Va. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at
2 p.m. with Elder Mark Terry officiating. The Interment will follow at the
Plasters Cemetery. The family will
