Jennifer Lynne Price Huff




Jennifer Lynne Price Huff, 54, of Floyd VA, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016. She is preceded in death by her father, Earnest Junior Price, maternal grandparents Katherine Sue and Harry Kent Vaughn, and paternal grandparents Daniel and Myrtle Lemons.
 She leaves to mourn her daughter Jessica Smith (Jerome) of Roanoke VA, son Jonathan Price of Roanoke VA,  mother Shirley Mae Price of Floyd VA, sisters Leola Lemons (Tim) of Vinton VA, and Benita Marcia Thompson (Anthony) of Charlotte NC, brother Michael Price of Marion VA,  and grandchildren Arianna, Marquice, and Javonte Smith of Roanoke VA.
 She was an active member of Mt. Zion Christian Church of Floyd VA.  She touched the lives of many people and she will be greatly missed.
  Funeral Services will be held at Maberry Funeral Home on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. with Rev Kevin McNeil officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Little River Cemetery.

Edward Lane "Eddie" Sledd



Edward Lane “Eddie” Sledd, of Riner , VA, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his home in Riner. He was born in Roanoke, VA on February 27, 1945 to the late William and Alice Lucas Sledd. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Daphne Byrd Sledd; son, Donivan Lane Sledd and wife Tammy; stepson, Leonard Darrell Spencer, step grandson, Chris Spencer and wife Laney; step grandchildren, April and Roger Linkous; four step great grandchildren.
Eddie spent most of his life in the auto repair business as the owner of Sledd’s Body Shop in Christiansburg and later in Riner, VA. Respecting Eddie’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. The interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, VA on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. For anyone wishing to make memorial contributions, the family asks that you consider the Riner Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Riner Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 11, Riner, VA 24149. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Carilion Clinic Hospice.

Ronald Ray "Ronnie" Morgan



Ronald Ray “Ronnie” Morgan, 72, of Riner, passed away Saturday April 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Morgan, Sr. and Mary H. Morgan and sister, Rita M. Loan.
He is survived by his wife, Ann L. Morgan; brother and sister-in-law, John W. Morgan, Jr. and Marie; nephew, Jonathan Morgan and his son William; niece, Sarah Reed and her husband Darrell; niece, Angela D. Woolwine and her son Dakota Cumbee; numerous cousins in VA and WVA.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Bradley officiating. The interment will follow at the Duncan Family cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home.

Barbara Radford Otero


Barbara Gale Radford Otero, 48, of Dobson, NC, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016.    She was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Radford and sister, Teresa Radford.
She is survived by her parents, Jimmy Radford (step-mom Martha) and mother, Novella Harris Lawson; daughters, Shianna Bowling, Dobson, NC, Natasha Bowling, Raleigh, NC, Alisha Witt, Indiana; brother, Mark Lawson, Cana,VA; sisters, Cynthia Radford, Dobson, NC, Linda Radford, Pulaski, VA; and 15 grandchildren. 
Funeral will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating with interment in the Williams Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers family asked that donations be made to Maberry Funeral Home for burial expenses.

Paul Edward Hollandsworth



  Paul Edward Hollandsworth, 72 of Floyd, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gurlie and Velma Hollandsworth. He is survived by his wife Linda Rakes Hollandsworth; son Darrell (Tara) Hollandsworth of Floyd; daughter Michelle Hollandsworth of Roanoke; granddaughter Morgan Hollandsworth; grandson Dawson Hollandsworth; step-children Troy (Lisa) Thompson of Perry, GA, and Danielle (Wayne) Dickerson of Christiansburg; step-grandchildren Taylor Thompson, Callie (Cody) Johnston, Maddie White, Destiny Bishop, Lacey Bishop, and Grace Bishop; sisters Bonnie (Lewis) Smith, Blondine (Luther) Woolwine, and Sandra (Fred) Altizer.

   Paul served our country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea in the bitterly cold Demilitarized Zone. Paul retired from the Volvo Truck Plant after 30 years of service, and was an avid Virginia Tech football fan. He had not missed a Home Game in 42 years.

  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Goad and Pastor Kenneth Poston officiating. Interment will follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery with Military Rites by the Virginia National Guard. The family will receive friends 6p.m.-8p.m., Monday, April 4, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home.
