Margaret "Glenna" Link

Margaret “Glenna” Link, 89 of Bristol, VA, formerly of Copper Hill, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Link; son, Donnie Link; sisters, Kathleen Ferris and Rosetta Underwood; and brother, Lynwood Conner.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Campbell (Larry), and Barbara Link (Rick); grandchildren, Scott Campbell, Patrick Campbell, Brianna Ross, Bethany Gott, and Mary Alice Gott; great-grandchildren, Libby, Eli, Isaiah, Jonah, Maeson, Jaden, Colton, and Destiny; great great-grandson, Kamdyn; sister, Evelyn Rutrough; sister-in-law, Betty Conner; and her beloved dog, Maggie.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Salem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Carl Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Vivian B. Weeks

Vivian B. Weeks, 92 of Floyd, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Lee Agee; second husband, Elmond Odell “Squirrely” Weeks; and all of her siblings.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Derwood & Deborah Agee; daughter & son-in-law, Vaughnia & Roger Harmon; step-children, James Weeks, Robert Weeks, and Allen Weeks; grandchildren, Wendy Poff, Calvin Harmon, Jason Harmon, and Jesse Agee; numerous, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the funeral home.

Mary Lou Weeks

Mary Lou Weeks, 78, of Chicago, passed away August 18, 2019 at home surrounded by family. 

She is the beloved wife of Clyde Weeks; loving mother of Michael, Donald, and Linda Weeks; loyal sister of Betty and Phyllis; cherished grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of 19. 

Mary was a long-time employee of her "first home" Jewel-Osco on Ashland Avenue in Chicago.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in the Lester Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Danny Ray Belcher

Danny Ray Belcher, 64 of Meadows of Dan, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert & Loveda Belcher; and wife, Vicki Phillips Belcher.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Belcher; children, Jolene & Terry Lucas, Daniel & Heather Belcher, and Amber Belcher; step-children, Dale Hall, Jessica & Kevin Faulkner, and Christy Hall; grandchildren, Katie “Scarlett” Lucas, Colin Cox, Hunter Whitfield, Elliott Cox, and Randall Belcher; step-grandchildren, Robert Hall, Clayton Hall, Jacob Faulkner, and Clare Elmira Hall; brothers & sisters-in-law, Rondel & Sheila Belcher, Dale Belcher, and Richard & Melissa Belcher; aunts, Irene Smith, and Shelby & Miles Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the Indian Creek Cemetery with Leonard Goad speaking.

Wendell Wilkey Sutphin

Wendell Wilkey Sutphin, 77 of Willis, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Huff Sutphin.

He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Jerry & Kim Sutphin; daughter & son-in-law, Mary & David Blankenship; grandchildren, Caleb & Cortney Blankenship, Lydia Blankenship, Emma Blankenship; great-grandson, Mattis Liam Blankenship; brother & sister-in-law, Brown & Ellen Sutphin; and sister, Frances Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon – 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lucinda Agee Harmon, 89 of Floyd, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Elaine Harmon; parents, William Guy & Mandy Compton Agee; husband, June Benjamin Harmon; and siblings, Abron Agee, Geneva Thomas, Ralph Agee, Laura Huff, and Henry Agee.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Harmon (Donna), Clifford Harmon, Judy Ayers (Phillip), and Rodney Harmon; grandchildren, Denise Webb, Amanda Beverly (Dexter), Kenneth Beasley, Stacey Alley (Damon), Mandy Harris (Larry), and Ricky Harmon; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Stacey, Olivia, Josh, Jabe, Camden, Delta, Triston, Dustin, John Roberts, and Jennifer; and sister-in-law, Vivian Weeks.
