Wanda Weddle Lovern

Wanda Weddle Lovern, 71 of Floyd, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She is preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Curtis Weddle.

She was a member of Topeco Church of the Brethren where she was the organist for many years, choir member, as well as a board member on various committees. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, tending her flower gardens, supporting her grandchildren in their many goings-on, and engendered smiles wherever she went. 

She is survived by her husband, Terry A. Lovern; mother, Glenna Slusher Weddle; son & daughter-in-law, Landon & Chrissy Conner; daughter & son-in-law, Jeaneen & James Ingram; step-children, Travis & Mitzi Lovern and Jason Lovern; grandchildren, Jolie, Jordan, and Jonah Ingram, Miah Mandzak, and Cyrus Lovern; brother & sister-in-law, Jerry & LouAlice Weddle; sisters-in-law, Jean Wright, Patsy Barnett, Phyllis Alderman, and Arlene Strauss; niece, Jerryann Weddle West (Jon); and great-nieces, Ella and Lily West.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Topeco Church of the Brethren with Rev. Ted Turner and Rev. Mike Varner officiating. Interment will follow in the Topeco Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Maberry Funeral Home.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wanda’s memory to the Topeco Church of the Brethren Organ Fund, 3460 Floyd Hwy S, Floyd, VA 24091.
