Dolly Katherine Phillips Conner, 68 of Floyd, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Dolly was born on January 24, 1958 to Theron Arston & Martha Agnes Phillips in Radford, VA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jacob “Jake” Coburn Phillips who she is rejoicing and reuniting with in Heaven; and her sister, Patsy Phillips.
After graduating from Floyd County High School, she went on to study at Ferrum College and Radford University where she got her Masters in Communication and Public Speaking. She taught both in Radford, VA and Lewisburg, NC as a professor in communication.
Dolly was known for her kindness and love. She never met a stranger. She loved to sing, including with the choir at New Harvest Ministries. She was a wonderful mother who cherished her sons and a dedicated grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Zachary Conner (Jessica) and Joshua Conner; grandchildren, Melody and Jasper Conner, and Aolani Bason; sisters, Peggy Quesenberry and Nancy Page; and nieces, Kristen Orange (Kevin) and Emily Kaylor (Joey).
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, July 17, 2026 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Bentley officiating. Interment will follow in the White Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
