Glenn William
Hubbard, age 74 of Willis, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday,
September 17,
2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 8, 1943 in the Meadows of Dan area of Floyd
County to the late Gordon Sindes Hubbard and Wilma Ree Pratt Hubbard.
He is survived
by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Mae Bowen Hubbard of the home; two daughters
and sons-in-law, Glynda Mae and Jeffrey Stanley of Laurel Fork, Amanda Gail and
Jason Farmer of Floyd; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Gordon and Julie
Hubbard of Laurel Fork; grandchildren, Carrie and Nathan Harris, Robert
Stanley, Joseph and Lisa Hubbard, Benjamin Hubbard, Jennifer and Marcellus
Lynch, Gideon Farmer and Jude Farmer; four great-grandchildren; four
step-great-grandchildren; brother and sister–in-law, Carl and Brenda Hubbard of
Meadows of Dan; several nieces, nephews, and other dear family members and
friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Maberry Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Belcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonathan Conner Cemetery with Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post # 7854, American Legion Post #127. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
