Ruby Boyd
Simpkins, 84 of Floyd, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Mom was reunited with her mother, father,
sisters, brothers and two granddaughters, Leslie Anne Simpkins & Amanda
Simpkins.
Ruby was born
on September 8, 1932. She was a good
mother and grandmother.
She leaves a
daughter, Loretta S. Spangler; four sons, JB & Pam Simpkins, Chester
Simpkins & Jo Angelia Mullins, Dwight & Kathy Simpkins, Hal &
Patricia Simpkins; Grandchildren, Haylee Simpkins, Roby Simpkins, Jordan
Stump(Matt) , Gabrielle Dye (Jeremiah) , Brooke Simpkins, Sheena McAlexander
(Jeremy) , Afton McPeak(Rusty) , Austin Spangler(Katelyn), Dakota Spangler
Stinnett (Tate); Great-Grandchildren, Hunter Simpkins, Brody Stump, Garrett
Stump, Jadyn McAlexander, Rylan McAlexander, Bella Stinnett, Aspen Stinnett;
Sisters, Maretha Lester, Blanche Quesenberry; sister-in-law, Goldie Boyd.
Funeral
service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Floyd United
Methodist Church with Pastor Roy Turpin and Pastor Jerry Sawyers officiating
with interment in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Maberry Funeral Home.
