Betty Jean
Grice, 88 of Floyd, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She is preceded in
death by her mother, Beulah J. Hermanson and father, Sherman R. Grice, Sr.
Betty was a long-time member of RSVP and spent many years helping others. She enjoyed gathering with her friends and playing BINGO, card games, and going shopping with the senior group. She enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics and was proud of all of her winning metals and ribbons.
She is survived by her brother, Randy Grice, Jr. (Trudy), twin brother, Billy Grice (Juanita); cousins, Jo Ann Maberry, Ann Phillips (Larry), Mitzi Roberson (Rodney), and Nicole R. Carr (Tyler); two nieces; and numerous friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Reva Hylton and Crystal Black for their diligent love and care in the past months.
