Leslie Alvin Dalton, 84 of Riner, passed
away Saturday, October 29, 2016 due to a tractor accident.
He never met a stranger and was always
ready to help anyone. He was an avid
horseman and was retired from Roanoke Electric after 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He will be sadly missed by family and many
friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60
years, Irene Shelton Dalton; daughter & son-in-law, Kathy & Dwight
Simpkins.; granddaughter, Kaylee Simpkins, who was Papa’s pride and joy;
special niece, Barbara Quesenberry.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00
a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home with Rev. Justin
Quesenberry officiating with Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post #7854 and
American Legion Post # 127. Interment
will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home.
