Lareda "Gay" Quesenberry


Lareda” Gay” Quesenberry, 62, of Indian Valley, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 18, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Clova Bolt Dalton; brother, Venston Dalton; brothers-in-law, Warren Cox and Elzie Boyd.  
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.  She also loved being a “Grandma” and cooking for her family and friends.  She had a great love for gospel, blue grass and “old” country music.  Her church family also held a very special place in her heart.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Theron “Russell” Quesenberry; son, Jimmy Lee Quesenberry; daughter Leona Kay Quesenberry Newman; grandchildren, Maggie Rose Shockley, Bradley Rupert Newman; brothers and sister-in-law, William Dalton, Norman Dalton, Franklin Dalton (Shirley), Earl Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mavis Cox(Rean), Mable Boyd, Wanda Jean Linkous(Ben); sisters-in-law, Jackie Martin(Grover), Rhonda Dalton, Phyllis Quesenberry; brothers-in-law, Billy Quesenberry (Elaine), Chester Quesenberry Jr. (Linda); 11 Nieces, 11 Nephews, 2 Aunts, 1 Uncle.

A sincere thank you to her special caregivers and friends, Jackie Martin, Jean Linkous, Rhonda Dalton, Kathy Duncan, Wilma Dalton and Bonnie B. Outten.

Funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Little Flock Fellowship Church with Pastor Danny Phillip and Pastor Vernon Dalton officiating with interment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home.
