Warren Lynn Shelor, 65, of Floyd, went
to be with the Lord, Friday, June 5, 2015. Warren was employed by Virginia Tech
for 31 years. He was the owner of Shelor Enterprises, he was a member of the
Presbyterian Church of Floyd, a Charter Member of the Floyd Moose Lodge #2300,
a member of the Floyd Masonic Lodge #329, and a member of the Floyd American
Legion Post #127. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert H. Shelor. He
is survived by his loving wife, Janice Whitlock Shelor; mother, Lenna Trail
Shelor; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Donna Shelor; grandchildren, Audrey
and Meredith Shelor; brothers, Steve (Rebecca) Shelor, Bob (Donna) Shelor ;
mother-in-law, Vestal A. Whitlock; nieces, Alex Shelor and Amy Beckner;
nephews, Ryan, Chris, John, Matthew, and Michael Shelor, and Brian (Kathryn)
Beckner; aunts, Marlene Jones, Peggy (Paul) Casey; uncles, George W. Shelor,
L.C. (Shelby) Trail, Ray (Bridget) Trail; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Larry) Beckner;
brother-in-law, Kerry W. Whitlock. The family would like to express
thankfulness and gratitude to the Floyd County Rescue Squad, Fire Department
and Sheriff’s Office, Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Carilion Clinic Hospice and
friends, family members and neighbors who helped during his illness. Funeral
service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church of
Floyd with Pastor Tupper Garden officiating. The interment will follow at
Jacksonville Cemetery with Full Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post #7854 and
American Legion Post #127. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday,
June 7, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home with Masonic service to follow by Floyd
Masonic Lodge #329. Flowers are appreciated or donations can be made to The
