Erkie Clyde Marshall, 73 of Floyd, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ennis Harvey & Mattie Huff Marshall; brothers, Arnold Wayne Marshall and Chester Marshall; and sisters, Lillian Gillespie and Lucille Jones.
He had a deep love for his grandchildren. He was a Vietnam Veteran and then owned a successful logging business.
He is survived by his children, Carl Marshall and Patty Gautier (David); granddaughter, Kayla Roark (Dustin); great-grandchildren, Hannah, Daniel, and Abel Roark; brothers & sisters-in-law, Charles & Margaret Marshall and Clinton & Jean Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the
Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hebron Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Marshall Cemetery with Military Rites by
the Army National Guard. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11
a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
