Virgil Keith Huff went
home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 22, 2017. Born on August 20, 1922, she
lived a long, full life surrounded by family and friends. She was a beloved wife,
mother and grandmother. Virgil was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren,
retired from Floyd Garment Company and a hard-working farmer. She was a woman
who loved God and served others; strong in spirit, kind, loving, and
gentle.
Preceded in death by her
parents, George & Dorothy Keith; her husband of 65 years, Thurman (Jack)
Huff; Sister, Beulah Mae Harman; Brother, George Keith, Jr.; Son-in-Law Lowell
Aldridge; Daughter-in-Law Rebecca Huff and Great-Grandchild Alex Dillon.
Survived by Daughter
& Son-in-Law, Janice and Brad Foro; Daughter, Emma Jean Aldridge; Son,
Marvin Huff; Grandchildren, Kelly Lewis (Ken), Gwyn Foro, Craig Foro, Vonda
Dillon, Shana Biter (Billy); Travis Aldridge (Courtney); Great-grandchildren, Jessica
Lewis, Trey Dillon, Lacie Dillon, Nikki Roop, Ricki Roop, and Logan Johnson;
Brother & Sister-in-Law, Wayne & Racene Keith; Sisters and Brothers-in-Law,
Ethel & Ross Peacemaker, Corrine Sowers, Lucille & Lloyd Hall; Sisters-in-Law
Lorraine Keith, Alzora Wood and Leila Huff.
The family would like to
express our appreciation to Amedisys Hospice, caregiver Sandra Huff and Patsy
East for taking care of her beloved cat, Tom.
Virgil honored the Lord
all her life with a spirit of gratitude. She lived her testimony – a strong,
quiet witness to us all. She loved, and she was loved.
Funeral service will be
held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with
Pastor Jason Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends
from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
