Nannie Cathryn Stuart Babb, 99 of
Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Robert and Fannie Banks Stuart ; son, Timothy Stuart; husbands, John Hall,
Arthur Shorter and Bill Babb; brothers, Robert, Clifford and Silas Stuart; sisters, Eddie Mae Price, Annie
McFadden, Myrtle Moore and Iver Gertrude Stuart.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, John and Betty Hall; granddaughter, Joan Hall; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Phanelson and Chaz Hall; great-great grandchildren, Nyla Hall and Jaygeon Williams; brother, Joe Louis Stuart; sister, Alverta Lewis; many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, John and Betty Hall; granddaughter, Joan Hall; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Phanelson and Chaz Hall; great-great grandchildren, Nyla Hall and Jaygeon Williams; brother, Joe Louis Stuart; sister, Alverta Lewis; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00
p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Maberry Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Crump
officiating with interment in the Stuart Cemetery. Family will receive friends from Noon to 2:00
p.m. prior to the service.
