Clarence “Red” Moore, 80 of Blacksburg,
peacefully went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 20, 2016. He retired from VPI-SU and enjoyed music,
laughter, farming and never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his wives,
Eloise Wright Moore and Aletta Moore; his parents John Ulysses and Olivia Beulah
Meredith Moore; sisters, Dorothy
Hendricks, Ruth Fleck, Catherine Bloxom, Ada Harrison, Thelma “Sylvia” Price;
brothers, John Moore, Clifford Moore and Charles Moore.He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Angie& Joe Gallimore, Pam Moore Hughes & Adam, Lisa and Shad Cobb; four step-children; grandchildren, Matthew Moore & Brandon Brogan, Brittany Dowdy & Cory Kennedy, Tamara Dowdy & Zac Dobb, Montanna Collins, Hunter & Grant Gallimore; great-grandchildren, Carmen and Blaze Brogan, Chloe & Jeremy Moore, Ellie Dobb; sister & brother-in-law, Doris & Charlie Trumbo; brothers & sister-in-law, Bobby Moore, Denny & Shelvey Moore; sister-in-law, Rita Moore; many nieces & nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00
p.m., Monday, December 26, 2016 at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren (409
Ridgeview Rd. Floyd, VA) with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating with interment
in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. to 2:30
p.m. prior to the service.
