Robert Edward “Ed” Cline Weeks passed away peacefully
Friday, May 1, 2015 in his home. He is preceded
in death by his father, Harold Tennis Weeks, Sr.; and mother Mary Ethel Weeks;
brother, Harold “Tennis” Weeks, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Marie Weeks; Son &
daughter-in-law, Robert Ashley Weeks & Heather Simonne Weeks of Roanoke;
daughter & son-in-law, Betthney Weeks O’Connell & Eric J. O’Connell of Stuart;
grandson, Loftin Weeks of Roanoke; granddaughters, Emory Weeks and Yates Weeks
of Roanoke; and sister-in-law, Patty Belcher Weeks of Floyd.
A 1965 graduate of Floyd County High School and a graduate
of Danville Technical Institute, he served his country honorably for 26 years
as a proud member of the United States Army Reserve, serving in active duty in
Desert Storm. He returned to work in his family business,
Weeks Auto Parts and Service. He then
left the family business to teach Auto Mechanics at Floyd County High
School. He retired from the Army in 1993. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and
Kazim Shrine Temple. In his spare time
he enjoyed hunting, cooking, gardening, and creating in his work shop.
A Graveside service will be held 11 a.m.,
Monday, May 4, 2015 at Willis Cemetery, with Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating. Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post #7854 and
American Legion Post #127
