The Long Goodbye
“O death, where is your sting?”
Losing a loved one to Alzheimer’s is an exceedingly
painful thing.
Such a loss is a long goodbye!
Our hearts will be long heavy, often we have sighed.
There are days when all we can do is cry.
God finally took you home.
You no longer think you are alone.
We will see you again, and you will know us,
For by God’s grace, in Christ we all trust.
