Betty King Walters, 89, of Charleston South Carolina passed away peacefully on 12/29/2025. Betty was the beloved wife of Herman Walters for over 70 years.
Betty had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, especially the vibrant magnolia blooms, camellias, and colorful azaleas. Her love of music, she held dear, particularly for the piano. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her love of beauty, and her unwavering devotion to her family.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Herman Walters; their three children, David Walters, Daniel Walters (Patricia), Joseph Walters (Trina); eight grandchildren, Rebecca (Justin), Elizabeth, Sarah (Andrew ), Daniel (Samantha), Jacob and Robert Walters, Hannah (Joseph) and Morgan (Hunter) Walters; and six great-grandchildren, Alana, Jaxon, Emma, Weston, Waylon, and Halen; sisters Lynda King Sherrill, and Frances King Wood (Robert).
She is preceded in death by her parents Morgan “Preacher” King and Ruby Conner King; and her brother B.J. King.
