Joyce Ann McGrady

Joyce Ann McGrady, 72 of Radford, was greeted in a glorious reunion with her loving parents, Lawrence & Rosie McGrady, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She is also preceded in death by her special Pomeranian, Taylor.

Joyce never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone. She was the same authentic person no matter who she was with! You never had to change who you were around her because she just loved you for who you were.  She was beautiful, never left the house without looking fabulous in perfectly coordinating outfits and jewelry and, of course, her signature lipstick. She had the gift of gab and a smile that would light up a room.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Cromer (Michael Lytton); son, Joshua Cromer; granddaughter, Kaylee Wood; sister & special brother-in-law, Janice & Larry Weeks; nephews, Jason Weeks (Donna) and Travis Weeks (Katie); and great-nephew, Grady Weeks.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joyce’s many special friends for all of their calls, visits, prayers and care during this difficult time, as well as the doctors and staff at Roanoke Memorial Palliative Care.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

 Tomorrow

When tomorrow starts without me
And I’m not there to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We didn’t get to say
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
And each time that you think of me
I know you’ll miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an Angel Came and Called my name
And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And that I have to leave behind
All those I dearly love
