Alvin Lee Poff, 78,
of Roanoke passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2016. He is survived by his daughters, Marla P.
Bohling, Denise Matze (Jay) and Julie
Thomas (Chris); grandchildren, Emily and
Andrew Bohling, Jolie, Jace and Gracyn Matze and Jackson, Caden , Tate and Tinsley Thomas; sister,
Shirley Montgomery, brother-in-law
Ronnie Stanley; former wife, Betty Poff; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by parents, Santis and Bertie
Poff; sisters, Bonnie P. Campbell and Nellie P. Stanley and brother, Charles I.
Poff. Funeral services
will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home in
Floyd. Family will receive friends from
12:30 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home. The Burial will follow at Wilson
Cemetery. The family will also receive
friends and family at the home of Marla Bohling following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Wilson Cemetery, C/O Robert Vest, 1372 Daniels Run Road, Check, VA 24072.
