Iva
Gladys Vest Eanes, 90 of Check, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019. She is
preceded in death by her parents, Andy “Bud” & Minnie Perdue Vest; husband,
Archie Gordon Eanes; infant daughter; son, Earsel Garland Eanes; and
granddaughters, Terry Beth Eanes and Lacey Rena Eanes.
She
is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Gerald & Rita Eanes, Bruce
Eanes, and Darrell & Lisa Eanes; grandchildren and spouses, Travis Eanes
(Tina), Bradley Eanes (Jennifer),
Jessica Eanes, Angela Boyd (Tyler), Ethan Eanes (India), and Maggie
Eanes; and great-grandchildren, Jayden Eanes, Kenley Eanes, Adriana Boyd, and
Ezekiel Eanes.
Funeral
services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019 with Pastor Roy
Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery. The family
will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the funeral
home.
The family would like to extend a
special thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice of the New River Valley and her
caregiver, Martha Turpin.
