Melvin Sowers, 96, of Willis,
went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elverna
Harris Sowers and Great-granddaughter, Wendy Weddle.
He is survived by his son, Roy Sowers;
daughters, Christine Martin (Owen) , Melva Sutphin; 14 grandchildren; 21 great
grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; one great-great great grandchild.
Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Maberry Funeral
Home with Pastor Mike Varner officiating
with Military Rites by Floyd V.F.W. Post
#7854 and American Legion Post #127. Interment to follow in the Topeco Cemetery. Family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home.
