Guida Baker Worrell Weddle

Guida Baker Worrell Weddle, 77, of Floyd, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, James L. Worrell and D.T. Weddle; sisters, Freeda Moore, Belva Baker, Jewel Lineberry; brother, Eugene Baker.

She worked 35 years in the local textile industry as a supervisor at Skyline Sportswear and Floyd Garment Factory.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of the Hillsville Auxiliary  for 50 years and a charter member of the Floyd County Rescue Squad.  She also was a member of the Floyd Baptist Church for 49 years.

She is survived by her sons, James L. Worrell, Jr. (Rita Turpin), Dale Weddle (Dana Drew), Robert Weddle (Kathy); daughters, RuthAnne Worrell Graham (Richard), Mary Yonna Fainn (Curtis), Red Lee; grandchildren, Catherine Worrell Graham, Jacqueline Worrell Graham, Josh Weddle, Zack Weddle; sisters, Geneva Goad, Virginia Marshall, Eillen Moran (Bill), Elva Price; aunts, Clarie Baker Fisher; sister-in-law, Sue Baker; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Floyd Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Agee and Rev. Joe Womack officiating with interment in Jacksonville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home.
