Addie Mae Gardner Turman, 98, of
Christiansburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 17,
2015. She was born in Willis, Virginia
to the late John and Lena Harris Gardner.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter Lee Turman.
She loved to garden and was especially
known for her beautiful rose garden. She enjoyed life and was always happy to
welcome visitors into her home.
She is survived by her son &
daughter-in-law, Don and Ramona Turman of Salem; granddaughter, Leigh Ann
Foster of Roanoke; great-granddaughter, Taylor Foster of Roanoke; sister, Faye
Mitchell of Christiansburg; brother, Willie Gardner, Roanoke; numerous nieces
and nephews.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Monday,
July 20, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Vest and Chaplin Gary A.
Kingery officiating with interment in Jacksonville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to
11:00 a.m. prior to service.
