Joseph “Joe” Smith, 84 of Floyd, passed
away on Monday, May 19, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Floyd County and
worked as a truck driver for 45 years. He is preceded in death by his parents,
Walker & Hope Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years,
Thelma Smith of Floyd; and daughter & son-in-law, Bonnie Smith &
Darrell Bailey of Beckley, WV.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.
on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy
Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the
funeral home.
