Susie
Ann Overstreet, 71 of Willis, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020. She is
preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Beatrice Goad; brother, Edward
Goad; and sister, Geneva Walker.
Susie
was a graduate of Floyd County High School. She was a faithful employee of
Willis Village Mart for 22 years.
She
is survived by her husband of 56 years, James E. Overstreet; sons, James
Overstreet (Cheryl Polage) and Jonathan Overstreet (Karen Dixon); grandson,
Nathan Overstreet (Brittany Shipley); brother, Roy Goad; sister-in-law, Carolyn
Goad; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Maberry
Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow
in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the funeral home.
