Joseph
Simmons Alderman, Jr., 83 of Meadows of Dan, passed away on Saturday, August 3,
2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Simmons, Sr. & Vada
Conner Alderman; granddaughter, Katelynn Alderman; and twelve siblings, Beulah
Linkous, Edna Marshall, Lula Mae Cockram, Posey Alderman, Lucille Cox, Ruth
Austin, Irene Alderman, Glenn Alderman, Fred Alderman, Frank Alderman, Clara
Williams, and Ed Alderman.
He is survived by his children, Neal
& Jeanne Alderman, Amanda & Scott Bowen, and Andy & Michelle
Alderman; grandchildren, Jennifer Gibbons, Nicole Bowen, Lauren Bowen, and
Blake Alderman; great-granddaughter, Paige Gibbons; sisters, Rosetta Judy
Reynolds and Ruby Sloan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral
Services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Maberry
Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Belcher officiating. Interment will follow
in the Conner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – Noon
prior to the service at the funeral home.
