Velva "Winky" Eldree
Eaton, 77 of Floyd, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Roosevelt and Bertha Hazel Harris McPeak; her brother Elvin McPeak.
"Winky" was a
strong woman, wonderful mother and was always sacrificing for her children. She
loved her grandchildren with all her heart and she held a special place in
their lives.
Left to
cherish her memory are her sons, Charles “Dwayne” McPeak, James Alan Eaton; daughter
and son-in-law, Sara Eaton-McDaniel and Shane; grandchildren, Shane Ferrell,
Dustin Alan McPeak, Ashley Nicole Lampey, Eli Cole West; sister-in-law, Annie McPeak; nieces, Delsie West Brook, Shelby Rich; Many precious cousins.
Funeral service
will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Maberry Funeral Home
with Pastor Vernon Dalton officiating with interment in the Harris
Cemetery. Family will receive friends
from Noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
