Shade Harless Sutphin, Jr., 75 of
Bassett VA, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017.
He is preceded in death by his parents,
Shade Harless Sutphin and Iva Lee (Lindsey) Sutphin; brother, Donald Sutphin.
He is survived by his loving wife,
Catherine G. Sutphin; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Cindy Sutphin,
Steven and Pat Sutphin; grandchildren, Stephanie, Maegan, Samantha, Jessica and
Sarah Sutphin, Chris and Josh Meeks; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Joey, and
Elsie; sisters and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Darrell Huff, Nita Turman, Doris
Harmon; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. on Thursday,
May 25, 2017 at The Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.D. Harmon
officiating. The interment will follow at the Willis Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
