Ricky Dale Beaver, 75 of Floyd, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Mary Ann Beaver; and older brother, Thurston Beaver.
After graduating from Floyd County High School, he honorably served in the United States Army where he served his country and traveled the world. After serving for four years, he was employed at Yokahama, Radford Army Ammunition Plant, and Federal Mogul, where he retired after 32 years of employment. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, traveling, NASCAR Racing, and spoiling his dog, Grimmie, with hotdogs.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rose Mary Beaver; daughters, Rose Beaver Saunders, Opal Beaver Merchant (Aaron); son, Rickey D. Beaver (Mary); grandchildren, Ryan, Chancelor, Braxton, and Adain; great-grandchildren, Mariah and Xavier; six siblings, Kenneth, Joseph, Morgan (Robbie), Steven, Ruth, and Rachael (Alvin); dog, Grimmie; and cat, Bear.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Road, Dublin, VA 24084, with Deacon David Dunn officiating and Military Rites by the Army National Guard and American Legion #58.
